I am such a professional now...

This whole week I completed the training to become a Certified Lactation Counselor. It was so much fun. I had the company of a good friend, my oldest daughter, and my friend's nursling....

14 months old

My baby boy is 14 months old today. He is still nursing and doing great!

Oh my, I am so full......

Ben has cut back on some of his night feedings. Today is Monday and I am feeling it! It has been quite a while since I have been this full and sore. I am not quite engorged but I am getting there. I don't want to pump during teh day but I wish I could go home early to feed him.

13 and a half months and still going strong....

Ben is so grown

Ben is so funny sometimes when he is nursing. He will get distracted and sit up and want to play and when he does I put everything away. He then turns around and looks at me like I am crazy as if to say "where did the milk go?" I then lift my shirt up and offer both breasts and he dives for which ever one is closest!!! It is so funny!

Can you believe it?

Ben is a year old. (His birthday was last month on the 18th.) He is still nursing strong. I have stopped pumping at work. He will drink a little cow milk or juice or water during the day. Never a lot though. He seems to like to wait for me to get home. He is always ready to nurse both sides when I get home. He is eating table food fine but he is starting to show some preferences. He used to eat whatever I handed him. Now he will spit out what he doesn't like. He nurses at night but around midnight he just wants to sleep and even if he is fussy I can't get him to nurse anymore most nights. He is getting so big. He weighs 20 pounds now and his 5th and 6th tooth are cutting through. My baby is not such a little baby anymore.....
